Power Tennis vs Injuries

Since 2001 only one tennis player has managed to stay away from the injuries and stamp his authority in male tennis events. Time and again, the new brand of tennis has taken its toll on the players and year 2011 can endorse it further. Novak, Soderling, Nadal are prime examples of it. Although Nadal has not attributed any of his injuries to physical strain but he has suffered from them in the past. Delpo is another player whose style of play has resulted in him being sidelined for more than a year.

Usually, injuries are part of the sports as in most of the disciplines except swimming, there is one or other part of the body which is used most. Tennis takes tolls in arms and legs, more so of your playing arm. I am not an expert on the injuries and whatever I am writing is from common knowledge.

To conclude, it is quite apparent that it will be really difficult for the current generation of players to emulate the success what Roger achieved in his playing years, which was attributed to his flawless playing style. It will not be a surprise that Roger might end up with few more slams in his kitty even this this year
Ode to Roger!
