A Day in Vienna

Wait a minute Mr. Postman
A tranquil, slow moving but definitely a progressing afternoon on Praterstrasse in Vienna. Some random shots of people and activities on a glorious day, giving a glimpse of city life which does not move at a rapid pace.

Vienese love to ride a bicycle
This road or walk was built on the lines of Champs Elysses Promenade but for some reason it failed to take off, neverthless it is quite beautiful. Vienna has got dedicated cycling lanes unlike England where lanes just appear and then disappear without any pre-warnings. And the most remarkable thing is that cyclists too follow the lane systems and only ride in a particular direction.
nice balancing act
It has also become too hot recently. If you go back ten years ago, no one even knew about the ceiling fans and with climate change you cannot survive without AC these days!
sun beating down the street
And in this intolerable heat, benches provide some relief to the locals. Finally, there are few photos of people doing random things on the so called Promenade of Austria.

Hope you will  enjoy!
