Tennis season is reaching to its climax. It was a tumultous year which saw Murray starting with a bang and continued his climb on the ranking charts then it was Nadal who again proved nemesis of Federer and clinched the Australian open in a humdinger. After that it was an unknown entity Robin Soderling who brought Nadal's juggernaut to a screeching halt and old order of play was restored. Federer won French and Wimbledon and got reinstated as no 1 and one of the greatest in the history of tennis.
Male tennis has never been this exciting before since I started to follow it, although Federer is still ruling but there is tough competition going around for all the places. Nadal is back but has slipped to no 3 and is not at his competitive best because of the layoff. Murray is on rise but the big events and playing close matches is still not his forte. Djokovic is getting his rhythm back after being an non entity for most of the season. Juan Del Potro is the star in making and is here to stay. Roddick played like a possessed soul during Wimbledon but has not shown the same form again.
My first choice for winner is still the KING FEDERER but he is closely chased by the pack and Murray and Nadal enjoys a good record against him. I still have my doubts about Murray and he has a tough draw. He has to face either Nadal or Del Potro in the semi final and even if he wins that match it wont be an easy one. This means that he will be drained out for the final match. Federer avoids both Nadal and Murray till the finals if he continues to play like he is playing now then there is no stopping. If Djokovic beats Federer in semi final then title is his as his style of play does not suit either to Murray or to Nadal.
Let's wait and watch and see how the event unfolds........
