What goes up comes down!!

I know it is bit early to write all this. England still has some distance to go. My predictions are going right till now, barring South Africa. They come out as the strongest side till the pressure situation arrives and then they will choke. Well the big news is! following the footsteps of mighty Australians our very own Superstars studded Indian team have gone out of the T20 world cup with a whimper.

It was such a waste of 4 hours of our time watching them making a hash of an easy game. It is always said that it is easier to say rather than doing. At the same time, there would be unanimity amongst Indian fans that the promotion of Jadeja for the no. 4 spot was a mistake. My friend Deepak asked me at the start of the world cup that Is Jadeja such a good player to be included into Indian team. My answer to him was that what I had seen of him so far, he does not look like a match winner at all and I can't really see him donning Indian colours.

I was particularly bemused to see Jadeja coming in the team at the expense of Pathan. Pragyan paved the way for R P Singh. R P is a strike bowler and his inclusion is always welcomed but whatever we have seen of Ojha, he seemed to be the best spinner in the IPL.

At the end of the match Dhoni said that bowlers performed well. I do not agree with him as Harbhajan was the culprit of giving away 10 runs in wide, that too 5 crucial runs on the penultimate ball which could have been seen as the margin for victory and defeat. Promotion of good for nothing Jadeja was baffling and incomprehensible, they guy consumed 35 balls for 20 odd runs. Another mind boggling thing is the loss of form for our captain, golden boy Dhoni. I was just watching his old videos on youtube and they guy used to destroy all the bowlers and these days all he can score is singles.

India had a good strong squad but I think we failed to come up with a plan. England did wonderful job in bowling short to Indians and asking questions at the start of the innings. I think we missed Sehwag as well. Rohit would have been sensational at the role he played for Deccan chargers.

Another thing which I failed to understand as Why Dhoni didn't use surprise bowlers like Raina And Rohit to startle the oppositions. Ishant Sharma is not suitable for T20 format as he does not take as many wickets like R P, Parvin or Nehra.

Today's loss was an inevitability after India lost to West Indies. England had a better captain, a perfectly executed plan and hunger to win. Now on they will pose a greater threat to other teams in the competition. To get rid of Adil Rashid was a master stroke as he was not making any impact and on the other side Pathan got dropped despite of conceding only 9 runs in his 2 overs in the last match. He is also been a better finisher than Dhoni seeing his current form.

Mid way analysis still complies with the initial assessment. My heart said India but they broke our heart. England still maintaing the belief I showed in the them before the start of the tournament. South Africa has to prove themselves now. West Indies and Pakistan are surprise packages. For Sri Lanka batting looks thin and unimpressive.

India should had done better than this, may be there are lessons to be learnt. We need strike bowlers and NO Jadejas pleasseeeeeeeeeeeeee.
