My predictions for Australian open 10

Leave a comment if you agree or disagree.

This is a picture which has saved in the RAM of tennis fans,  Federer crying after his loss at Australian open. Many Nadal fans said that this was a shameful event and men don't cry, well I disagree. It is lot of hardwork to win a slam and if one misses it by such thin margin then it is going to hurt. To  those Nadal fans that he never cried, well he did when he won the Wimbledon in 2008.

As I  wrote befor that men's tennis have never been this exciting before and I am quite enjoying it. Federer is still the top player closely followed by a pack who is waiting to dethrone him this year. Nadal is going out of favour as he has not managed to win a masters since April last year and subsequently  has failed to beat a top 10 player since French open last year.

Djokovic was looking good at the end of last year but his start in 2010 is not looking very promising. Del Potro finished strong 2009 but has not played at all in 2010. Andy Murray showed so much promise at the beginning of the year but failed to turn up  at the grand slams.

Soderling is an upcoming player and he has shown that on his day he can beat any player in the world. People who  said that beating Nadal was a fluke had to eat  their words as he managed to  beat Federer after losing 12 times in  a row to him. Davydenko had a phenomeonal run at the end of 2009 which he has carried to 2010 as well however it has been some sort of history that Doha winner comes cropper at Australian open.

To conclude I think Federer, Murray and Del Potro  are favourites and the dark horses in my opinion are Marin Cillic and Robin Soderling.
